Lough Erne Resort is home to two Championship Golf Courses, including The Faldo Course; designed by Six time Major winner Nick Faldo; The Faldo Championship Course is his first golf course design in Ireland.
The Collop Walk …Enjoy a walk, jogg or run around The Collop path which encompasses the 18 spectacular golf Holes of The Faldo Championship Course, which offers breathtaking views of Lower Lough Erne, Castle Hume Lough and the beauty and tranquility of The Fermanagh Lakelands.
Resort Residents, can navigate the waters with Resident Game Angling Instructor, Packie Trotter, one of only 140 Master Casting Instructors in the world, to Fly Fish for Pike on the private Castle Hume Lough; Angling for these hard fighting fish is from boat only.
Casting Lessons with Packie Trotter…..Try a new Experience and learn a new skill by taking a Casting Lesson where you will learn how to cast. Likewise Anglers can improve their casting technique by taking Casting Tuition with the trout or salmon fly rod. A variety of exclusive Seaplane Tours are available, which provide the opportunity to land on the Waters of Castle Hume Lough which The Resort overlooks. For an unforgettable bird’s eye view, hop aboard a Helicopter from The Resort grounds, Choose from a ½ hr or 1hr Helicopter Tour or a 1 Day Tour.
Beyond The Resort The Resort is located minutes from Enniskillen in the heart of The Fermanagh Lakelands which is an ideal venue for walkers. With its vast array or terrains, mountains, forest and castle walks, there will be something to suit all strengths, abilities and interests. Fly Fishing Tours can be for a ½ day or full day with a choice of Fly-Fishing for Pike on Castle Hume Lough or for Trout on Lower Lough Erne or Local Rivers and Hill Loughs. For the more enthusiastic fisherman, Coarse Fishing for Pike, Perch and/or Bream is available for a ½ Day or Full Day Angling Tour. Coarse fishing takes place on Lower Lough Erne, Local Rivers and Hill Loughs. Coarse Fishing is available all year round.
Experience Salmon Fishing on a stretch of the River Mourne, with expert Salmon Instructor, Gerry McAteer. The River Mourne is part of the Foyle Fishery System and is in the top league of salmon rivers in Ireland and the UK. This beat is recognized by many as being one of the best and most challenging fly-fishing waters available and is reserved for the serious fisherman.
Take to the skies and have a Flying Lesson in your choice of 2 seater Robison R22 or 4 seater R44. The experienced Instructors will provide a pre-flight brief before taking in the stunning aerial views of The Fermanagh Lakelands.
The Resort can arrange Bicycle Hire or Guided Cycling Tours of the local Area; there is something for everyone as Fermanagh is part of The National Cycle Network in Northern Ireland - a network of signed cycle ways.
The Resort can arrange Horse-riding at a nearby riding school. Some of the best routes in Ireland are available through this BHS approved riding school and trekking centre.
Watersports on the fresh, clean waters of the Lough – for those seeking energetic pursuits, and for canoeing enthusiasts, the magnificent lakes of Upper and Lower Lough Erne, lined by the River Erne, provide a trail of up to 50km.
