Reward and Recognition

At Lough Erne Resort, we strive to reward and recognise employees who continuously deliver first class guest service.

One of our initiatives is a first class service award in which our management team and employees have the opportunity to nominate any employee who delivers exceptional customer service. Postcards with nominations are passed to the General Manager and at our monthly staff presentation, prize winners will enter a lucky dip where they may win anything from an extra hour in bed to an overnight stay, from a game of golf to a luxurious Thai spa treatment or even champagne for 2 served on the terrace!

The General Manager also chooses a “Star” on a bi monthly basis. “Stars” are nominated by the management team and our normally an employee whose work ethic and dedication is deemed exemplary. Their prize includes a £100.00 cash prize and a bottle of our house champagne!

In order to be familiar with our products and to upsell to our guest, we encourage employees to make use of Resort amenities including The Thai Spa, Afternoon Tea in The Garden Hall, dinner in The Catalina Restaurant, a swim in the Infinity Pool, a work out in The Fitness Room, relaxation in the Whirlpool or an overnight stay in a Lakeview room with breakfast in bed. Experiencing the Resort is a great way of recommending our products to our guests.... The more our employees recommend, the more they upsell and the more they earn in gratuities which are paid out monthly. A great motivator!

We encourage our managers to have job chats with their employees each month for the first three months of employment to ensure our new starts are happy with their induction and with their employment. Formal appraisals are held annually whereby roles and responsibilities are clarified in line with company objectives thus ensuring each employees has a clear understanding of their job roles and objectives and how they contribute to the success of the company.

Training is an integral part of employment at Lough Erne and alongside comprehensive induction training, you will avail of departmental and company training which will support personal and professional growth. All in all, our reward and recognition strategy ensures employees are well trained, well managed, highly motivated and serve their purpose in engaging employee commitment and ultimately retention.
