Resort Sales Executive


Purpose of Job: To work in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Director, to increase revenue and maximise yield within the corporate and leisure Segments of rooms, conference and banqueting, golf, food and beverage & golf, ensuring budgeted sales, average room rates and occupancy in both rooms and catering are met.
To work with the Group Sales and Marketing Director, in promoting and marketing the Resort. To raise the profile and to retain and maintain existing business and develop new business, resulting in increased room sales.
Responsible to: Sales and Marketing Director
Working Liaison: Front Office Team, Food and Beverage Teams, Golf Teams, Group
Conference and Incentive Sales Manager, Group Sales and Marketing Team players

Candidate Profile:
• 2 years experience as a Hotel Sales Executive in a 4-5* property with a proven track record for achieving proactive sales targets in an environment which is well recognized for excellence, innovation and high standards.
• Experience with both Golf and Spa sales strategies as well as extensive knowledge of corporate sales markets, FIT markets, group markets and tour operators.
• Budgeting and business planning experience
• Sales calls and cold calling experience
• Previous Marketing and PR experience
• Excellence organizational and presentation skills
• Highly motivated and highly motivating
• Excellent personality and high standards of customer care and process management

Key Responsibilities:
• To reflect and enhance the hotel’s Mission Statements and key passions in all activities.
• To ensure all guest queries are handled promptly and efficiently and to ensure an initial response is given within 2 hours of the enquiry
• To contribute to and implement the annual Sales & Marketing Plan for rooms, F&B, golf and conference and banqueting so as to maximise revenue and profitability for the resort.
• To plan and organise schedule of sales appointments to existing and new business customers within the corporate marketing sections, golf group and tour markets, tour groups and all potential business streams.
• To schedule weekly appointments at least 1 week in advance
• Conduct a minimum of 15 face to face sales calls per week and 100 research / lead phone calls.
• To review the production with local contracted corporate and golf accounts on a quarterly basis
• To ensure all company profiles & client histories are updated and maintained according to the market segments agreed by the resort
• To plan and implement a sales and marketing plan for the resort
• To achieve Rooms, golf and conference Sales Budget for the resort
• To achieve Rooms Sales Budget within Corporate segment
• TO assist with the preparation of the annual sales & marketing plan.
• To proactively manage Local Corporate and golf contracted account portfolio and allocated geographical areas in accordance with departmental standards, to ensure existing customers are retained and new business identified, targeted and secured.
• To compile weekly and monthly sales report for the department
• To strategically target all market segments for business
• To update all sales information
• To report to and to liaise with the Sales and Marketing Director on a weekly basis on the sales and marketing activities, market conditions, peak/ trough periods, competitors activity and market feedback.
• To work with the Director of Golf to ensure golf sales are maximised in the main golf segments of tour, corporate, association & operator for both courses.
• To up date RFP’s and communicate the final details of accepted companies to the front office department, keeping regular contact with all accounts resulting in higher revenue.
• To Monitor Leisure accounts, recontract existing accounts, identify new accounts and liaise with Group Sales Department.
• To communicate all negotiated rates to reservations, front office and accounts
• To co-ordinate the production of resort brochures and sales brochures
• To liaise with advertising company or Group Marketing on the production of all adverts.

Sales and Marketing Director

Purpose of Job: To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Sales & Marketing Department and to maximize on Sales and yield to ensure resort revenue is maximized. The position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives. To develop and implement resort-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer. To have an excellent knowledge of all revenue streams, budgets and costs and to strive to achieve all these targets.

Candidate Profile:
• 3-5 years Previous experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing in a 4-5* property which is well recognized for excellence, innovation and high standards

• To be on the Destination Fermanagh Committee and to help in its successful running
• Develop a partnership with local colleges and university’s and establish a joint partnership for conference & events
• To build Lough Erne as a leading Wedding Venue and to achieve the annual targeted number of weddings per year.
• To ensure all guest queries are handled promptly and efficiently and to ensure an initial response is given within 2 hours of the enquiry
• To organise and manage the sales department
• To plan and organise weekly sales call to both new and existing clients
• To plan and implement a sales and marketing plan for the resort
• To achieve Rooms and conference Sales Budget for the resort
• To set targets for the sales teams in terms of sales calls and revenue
• To strategically target all market segments for business
• To allocate sales territories to the sales team to ensure existing business is maintained and new business is developed
• To plan and agree an advertising budget in conjunction with the Group Sales & Marketing Manager
• To co-ordinate the production of hotel brochures and sales brochures
• To liaise with advertising company /Group Sales & Marketing Manager on the production of all adverts.
• To plan and organise sales promotions
• To plan and organise away sales trips to promote the resort
• To plan and organise mail shots
• To plan and organise Fam trips, club events, site inspections, corporate golf day etc.
• To ensure all administration work is complete, follow up calls, research calls, rate contracts etc.
• To communicate all negotiated rates to reservations, front office and accounts
• To maximise on sales and referral leads from Tifco Sales Managers.
• To build relationships with TIFCO account managers for Corporate, Leisure and Conference Business
• Be aware of TIFCO online tactical campaigns and TPI programme
• To update corporate grid on a weekly basis
• To update RFP list weekly
• To ensure all Lough Erne RFP’S are completed on time
• To represent Lough Erne at consumer fairs, trade exhibitions, seminars etc.
• To communicate all details agreed with clients to the relevant departments
• To be fully aware of TIFCO & Lough Erne brand standards and any special promotions, and rate programmes which we are involved in
• To be fully aware of our competitors and their rates
• To market the resort both within Ireland and abroad
• To identify any P.R opportunities
