Lough Erne Resort is the 1st Hotel to Launch iPhone Web App in Northern Ireland

Lough Erne Resort continues to pioneer innovation within the hospitality sector as it becomes the first hotel in Northern Ireland to bring a dedicated mobile experience to its customers accessible on iPhone, iPad and other popular mobile platforms. The dedicated mobile site is accessed automatically when a customer types in The Resort’s web address on an iPhone or other mobile system.
“The fact that the webapp can be accessed on-the-go twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, means that it is an increasingly appealing booking option to global visitors, as it removes any barriers that may exist around differing time zones. Guests staying at The Resort will also be able to share the experience with family and friends around the world by sending a postcard via a dedicated Lough Erne Resort Facebook page www.facebook.com/lougherneresort ; guests can choose from one of the fifteen unique postcard designs.
The visuals on the postcards depict not only the breathtaking scenery that engulfs The Resort, but also showcases the extensive range of activities and experiences that guests can occupy their time with - whether that is relaxing in the Monea Deep Relaxation Room at The Thai Spa, indulging in the variety of innovative Dining Experiences by Acclaimed Chef, Noel McMeel, celebrating a couple’s Wedding, enjoying a game of golf on The Faldo Championship Course or listening to children’s laughter as they join in the ‘Cygnets at Lough Erne’ experience for our younger guests.

Rory McIlroy...9th August 2010...'Since my last blog we had the Lough Erne Challenge which was myself and Darren versus Padraig and Shane – and me and Darren won so that was great! The day itself was spoiled a bit by the weather but the crowds were great and they really got into the spirit of the whole thing and the day was a great success. It was the first time that Darren and Shane had seen the resort as whole and they were really impressed with the whole set up. The course was in seriously good condition and the green surfaces were probably some of the best that I’ve putted on all year. I was very proud to show it off to them in all its glory!'

First Faldo Academy in Europe to Open at Lough Erne in September
With construction already well underway on the Faldo Academy at Lough Erne, the facility is scheduled for completion in September when it will begin offering tailored tuition packages to golfers of all abilities. The academy will include a swing studio that will allow for private tuition with state-of-the-art video technology. A classroom facility adjacent to the swing studio and an eight-bay indoor range will provide the perfect location for teams from across Europe to conduct game-improvement and team-development training sessions. Group classes for beginners will also enable golfers to have fun while learning the basic fundamentals of the game within a customised time-frame.
