The Lough Erne Challenge
The Faldo Championship Course hosted The Lough Erne Challenge, The Duel on The Lough a stroke play between Rory McIlroy and Padraig Harrington, which saw Rory McIlroy set The Faldo Course record of 68. The Faldo Championship Course is set to host The Faldo Series Grand Final in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and The Faldo Series Ireland Championship during the same years, Rory McIlroy, Lough Erne Resort’s Touring Professional is a former member of Team Faldo and won both the Under-15 and Under-17 Faldo Series titles in 2004 and 2006 respectively.
