Lynn McCool Director of Golf & Head Professional
Lynn ,a recent addition to the Team at Lough Erne Resort, but a familiar face in the Golf World, being one of the best-known professional golfers in Ireland and a former competitor on the European, Asian and South African Tours
Lynn had a highly successful amateur career winning a string of titles throughout her native Ireland and a subsequent Golf Scholarship at the University of Hawaii before embarking on a four year training programme at The Belfry.
A qualified professional for more than ten years now, Lynn began here career under the guidance of Michael Doherty, the former Head Professional at the City of Derry Golf Club.
In 1999 as a newly qualified professional, she was appointed PGA Teaching Professional at Hilton Templepatrick Golf Club in County Antrim and in 2004 was promoted to Director of Golf for the complex. Overseeing a staff of 25, Lynn was responsible for all golf operations including running golf schools, increasing membership and corporate golf day business as well as advising on marketing and advertising campaigns.
In 2006 the former Ulster Girls Champion joined the K Club as Head Golf Professional. She managed a team of four PGA professionals developing a comprehensive golf tuition programme and sales and marketing strategy to promote the 36 hole former Ryder Cup venue.
Her period of service at the K Club coincided with the epic European victory in the 2006 Ryder Cup and during the event she was a guest speaker on Sky Sports Ireland and BBC Northern Ireland giving her view on the day’s play.
Lynn brings a keen sense of awareness to her new task at Lough Erne, of the manner in which relationships with visitors and members are successfully maintained by improving staff efficiency both on and off the course through leadership and internal training programmes.
It is a formula that has met with unqualified success wherever Lynn has served and has made her one of the most sought-after experts in the highly competitive world of global golf.
